This year’s Ulverston Lantern Festival will take place on Saturday 25th September. The theme for 2021 is ‘My Favourite Things’.

Saturday, September 25th
Come along and join our river of light on the streets of Ulverston – definitely a ‘favourite thing’ for thousands.
Lantern Kits are on sale now for £5 each from Appleseeds in Ulverston, the Book Shack (Market Hall), 14 Moorgarth in Swarthmoor, and Croftlands Launderette.
We are hoping to have lantern workshops on Saturday and Sunday, September 18th and 19th, but we are still confirming the venue. Visit our Facebook page or website: www.ulverstonlanternfestival.org for updates.
On the night, lanterns will depart in four processions.
Assembly times are:
- 6.45pm at Ulverston Parish Church on Church Walk
- 6.45pm at Croftlands Community Centre
- 7.00pm at the Auction Mart
- 7.15pm at Ellie’s Garden Centre (formerly Hillfoot)
Processions come together at County Square around 8.00pm.
Fireworks finale at Ford Park no later than 9.00pm.
