The WIN WIN Competition

We are super excited to be launching our brand new competition scheme in 2026

Each month you can be in with a chance of winning £600 worth of vouchers to be spent in our local businesses

Our intention is to run this programme over the next couple of years to try and ensure all our Levy Members get a little back whilst giving our community the chance to win some fantastic prizes.

How does it work?

Each month we will share details of the monthly prize on our Facebook page , all you need to do is like and share the post to be in with a chance of being our next lucky winner

Competition Terms and Conditions (Like-Based Giveaway)

1. Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Ulverston BID

2. Eligibility

• The competition is open to residents of Cumbria, United Kingdom aged [18]+ at the time of entry.
• Employees of the Promoter, its affiliates, or anyone professionally connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.
• Internet access and a valid social media account are required.

3. Competition Period

The competition opens at on the first day of the month and closes on the last day of the month  (“Competition Period”).
Entries submitted after this time will not be counted.

4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must:

1. Like the competition post on Choose Ulverston Business Facebook page during the Competition Period.

No purchase is necessary. Only one entry per person is permitted. Multiple likes or accounts may result in disqualification.

5. Prize

• The prize is monetary vouchers to be used in the chosen shops. The value will vary
• The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative is available.
• The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary.

6. Winner Selection

• Each like on the competition post will class as an entry, your public profile name will be used as your entry name and given a number
• The winner will be selected at random using a random number generator, each person who enters will be added to a spreadsheet of numbers and names from all valid entries received during the Competition Period.
• The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. Winner Notification

• The winner will be notified via Live Video and Comment within 7 days of the competition closing.
• If the winner does not respond within 7 days, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

8. Publicity

By entering, the winner agrees to the use of their username, name, and/or likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

9. Data Protection

Any personal data provided will be used solely for the purposes of administering this competition and in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Data will not be shared with third parties without consent.

This competition requires a “like of the competition post” on Facebook. By liking this competition post your public display name on social media will be used to form your entry.

A spreadsheet will be formulated to issue each entrant a unique number prior to the live draw. As soon as the live draw has taken place the spreadsheet will be disposed of and the only record of your name will be on the like section of the competition post.

If you wish to remove your name from our public Facebook profile and competition, please unlike the post of the competition you are entering and unfollow our page.

10. Platform Disclaimer

This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook.
By entering, participants release Ulverston BID from any responsibility related to this competition.

11. General

• The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the competition if circumstances beyond its control arise.
• The Promoter is not responsible for technical failures, lost entries, or platform issues.
• These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of United Kingdom.
