Tri Signs to guide locals and visitors to the town centre facilities

Back to Current Projects

The BID has launched the new Tri Signs in the town centre, the upgrade were made after consultation with the town centre shop fronted businesses. The idea of the Tri Signs is to guide locals and visitors to the town centre facilities and offerings. New additions to the signs include and 25% increase in the business listings, Symbols to identify the business offering, the Market Hall businesses, Free Town Centre Wifi, Loyal Free APP and Choose Ulverston.

Michelle Scrogham, Chair of BID said. ‘ The Tri Signs helps to navigate the public around the town for their shopping and leisure needs, they also show the extent of the town centre and raise awareness of areas that some may not know about or visit when in the town centre. This not only benefits the local community but enables visitors to explore the town in full.’

The Tri Signs will have a seasonal update on the information boards and a 6 monthly update on the listings. for more information or to change or to be listed contact admin@ulverstonbid.org.uk

About the BID

Why Does Ulverston need a BID?

BIDs are business-led initiatives taking advantage of government legislation that gives local businesses the power to raise their own funds to spend on their priorities in order to improve their trading environment. Ulverston BID is an investment scheme where local businesses collectively agree on the priorities and how to invest their money to benefit themselves, their staff, their customers and, as a consequence, the town as a whole.
