Ulverston Town Council write to inform of a temporary closure to the Morecambe Road Household Waste Recycling Centre in Ulverston from Monday 16th August, for four days.
The council have released a statement with details of the closure:
‘Renewi operates the 14 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) in Cumbria on behalf of the Cumbria County Council, and I am writing to inform you about a temporary closure that is due to take place at Morecambe Road HWRC, Ulverston.
The HWRC will be closing for resurfacing works as part of essential maintenance from Monday 16th August 2021 for four days, reopening at 8am on Friday 20th August.
The alternative site for residents using Ulverston HWRC is Walney Road, Ormsgill, Barrow-in-Furness, LA14 5UY and is open 7 days a week, 8am to 6pm. Please be aware that Walney Road HWRC is already very busy, and we therefore ask residents to consider holding onto their waste during this period to avoid having to wait in long queues.
Permits issued for Ulverston HWRC will be accepted at Barrow HWRC, Kendal HWRC, Millom HWRC and Grange HWRC up until Sunday 22nd August.’
