Launched in October 2016, in our Garden Shed right here in Ulverston, husband and wife team Andy & Zoe Arnold-Bennett produce award-winning botanical Gin, Vodka, and more. All are available to purchase through our online shop and at Shed One.
In 2019 we moved to The Old Calf Shed and opened our doors to visitors. All our experiences are hosted by us, the owners and distillers.
Experiences:
Distillery Tours & Tastings. Start with a welcome tipple, followed by a tour and then tastings of 5 of our botanical spirits. Finish with a tipple of your choice. Approximately 2 hours.
Botanical-inspired Afternoon G&Teas with Tour. Enjoy a welcome tipple and tour, before relaxing in our stylish and quirky visitor space for an Afternoon Tea that incorporates the botanicals in our spirits in the sweet treats.
Make Your Own Spirit (Gin or Vodka). A full afternoon of all things gin (or vodka)! From a welcome tipple and tour, we delve into 40 botanicals. Choose which will be included in your signature spirit. We show you how to blend them, then the distillation begins. Have a couple of sweet treats and a scone while you wait, then we find the best abv% for your special creation. Plus, a personalised label.
Plus, look out for our special events and local artisan hosted workshops. Candle making, Needle Felting, Calligraphy, Scrubs, Balms and Abstract Printmaking.
We are a licensed wedding venue and specialise in the more intimate celebrations: from a Gin Elopement up to 30 guests. Zoe can provide Afternoon Tea and canapes, or we’re happy to work with your caterers.
Winner of The Gin Guide’s Environmental Sustainability Award for 4 years in a row. Our creations include traditional botanicals, locally grown and foraged.
Awards for our spirits include: Great Taste, World Gin Award, World Vodka Award and The Gin Guide. We were also awarded a Silver Plaque from Green Tourism.
