Picnic Blankets at the Ready as Open-air Shakespeare Returns to Ford Park

Open-air theatre is set to return to Ford Park this summer as the Festival Players bring their latest touring production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The popular theatre company, who have delighted audiences at the Ulverston park over the years, return on Friday 22nd July with this intriguing mix of drama and comedy.

Written by William Shakespeare around 1595 , “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is one of his most performed and loved plays and, as in the Bard’s day, The Festival Players International will be performing with an all-male company of skilled professional actors, and invite you to share in the colour, poetry, and magical mayhem of this unique and amazing play. Truly, a summer treat for the whole family!

The performance starts at 7.30pm, with the park open for picnics beforehand. This is an open-air performance; so please bring your own rugs and chairs.
