A delightful new addition has graced the heart of Ulverston, and it’s all about indulgence, comfort, and a sprinkle of family history. Moma’s Kitchen, lovingly helmed by a husband and wife duo, Lisa and her husband, has officially opened its doors to welcome locals and visitors alike.
Moma’s Kitchen is all about homemade goodness, specializing in a range of delectable cakes, pastries, and sweet treats. Lisa and her husband have been crafting these delightful morsels for a couple of years, but their culinary journey recently took a pause to welcome their fourth child. Now, they’re back, and they’re bringing their scrumptious creations to your table.
While classic favorites like “old school” sponge cakes and decadent chocolate brownies are among their best sellers, Moma’s Kitchen also offers something special – personalized giant cookies that are sure to delight your taste buds.
But that’s not all; Moma’s Kitchen is ready to tantalize your taste buds further by introducing savory delights alongside their signature sweets. From all-day breakfasts to buns, baguettes, wraps, pastas, and home-cooked dishes like cottage pie, their expanded menu promises something for everyone.
On the savory side, Lisa’s husband is infusing the menu with Middle Eastern influences, sharing recipes passed down through generations from his Egyptian heritage.
Moma’s Kitchen is situated in a space formerly occupied by Taste of Cumbria, and they’ve kept the staff who used to work at the sandwich shop. They’re not just offering delicious food but also incredible value. At lunchtime, they’re serving up a hot meal, a drink, and a snack all for just £5, providing a tasty alternative to other meal deals in Ulverston.
Initially, Moma’s Kitchen will be open from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday. However, Lisa has ambitious plans to extend their hours to include evenings and Sundays, giving the community even more opportunities to savor the flavors of Moma’s Kitchen.
Moma’s Kitchen is more than just a new local eatery; it’s a story of passion for good food. So, when you find yourself in Ulverston, don’t miss the chance to pay them a visit and experience a true labor of love served on a plate.
