A bespoke framing business and gift shop has recently opened on King Street in Ulverston. The business relocated to the town after two years’ successfully trading in Dalton. TPFramework offers a high quality, local, bespoke framing service and an array of gifts and crafts in the shop.
The shop’s owner Terry Powley embarked on a new career as a framer in 2015 after retiring from the Royal Air Force after 30 years’ service and then working as a project engineer at Sellafield. Terry with wife Fay, set up TPFramework in September 2015, trading successfully for two years from their Dalton premises. The move to Ulverston signals an expansion of the business and the new location in the town centre means they will be well-placed for new customers.
Husband and wife team are joined by a third employee in their new premises, Daisy the dog, the shop’s USP. Daisy, a rescue dog, has been with them since she was 10 weeks old and provides a warm welcome to all the visitors to the shop. A big asset to the business; Daisy never fails to bring a smile to customers’ faces.
Alongside the bespoke framing service, the shop also offers a selection of locally produced gifts sourced from small, independent suppliers, including items from local artists and craftspeople.
TPFramework is located at 9 King Street, Ulverston and is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 5pm.
