Dickensian Festival in Ulverston is set to take place this weekend, Saturday 27 – Sunday 28 November.
After the cancellation of last year’s event, organisers are excited to welcome visitors back to the town for a full two-day festival, with stalls, music and entertainers booked for the occasion.
One of the country’s most popular Dickensian events, the festival offers a huge variety of free family entertainment, including a period dress competition.
The festival also hosts a traditional fairground with its very own Victorian-themed helter skelter, horse drawn carriage rides, music from folk musicians and brass bands, a fabulous Christmas market – with stalls offering unique gifts, festive food and drink – and much more.
