We’ve had some wonderful events so far this year at Ford Park, and with Christmas creeping up fast, the festivities aren’t over yet.
The very talented Sally Whittaker of Absolute Beginners will be running Christmas Craft Workshops at Ford Park in November.
Children 11 and over will love the Needle Felting Workshop on the 18th November where they can make their own Christmas Gonk, and in the afternoon we have an adult Needle Felting Workshop to create a beautiful Christmas Angel.
Sally will also be joining us for 2 Wreath Making Workshops on November 24th, where we will be creating beautiful wreaths with a straw base, which can be used after the festive season in the garden to feed the birds through the winter.
In December we welcome Santa to Ford Park!
The walled garden will be lit up with lights to create a truly magical experience.
Children will visit the Elves’ workshop to make a traditional Christmas decoration and write their list for Santa. Children can then sit in Santa’s sleigh while parents take photographs.
The fernery will be transformed into Santa’s Grotto where children will meet Santa and give him their Christmas list. Children will receive a gift and then be invited to take part in the reindeer trail to help Santa find the reindeers who got lost along the Woodland trail.
Our Santa event is being supported by Booths, Ulverston and CGP and all our events help support the maintenance and development of our community park.
