Ulverston's annual Halloween Candlelit Walk through Gill Banks woods. The event returns for its 15th year with the fairytale-inspired theme, 'A Little Bit Grimm' on Friday 31 October. Tickets are issued in twenty-minute slots to help manage visitor numbers safely.

Furness Tradition is run entirely by volunteers who aim to promote awareness of, and participation in, the folk music traditions of Cumbria, especially Furness.

2025 is the 25th Anniversary of this great festival, which goes from strength to strength. The 2025 festival will be at its traditional time from Saturday 26th April until Monday 5th May (the Early May Bank Holiday).  There will be the usual wide range of walks to cover all tastes.

The festival returns in the full Ulverston Dickensian style. There are multiple performance stages, roving street performers, hot mulled wine, a town-full of wonderful stalls, and costume parades through the historic town streets. In 2025, we’ll be back in Ulverston town centre. We’ll have live music and retro market stalls on both days. On Saturday 31st May, we’ll have vintage cars and motorcycles on display on the cobbles. On Sunday 1st June, we’ll be hosting the start and finish of the famous Velo Retro cycling festival.
