Ulverston Wins Best Town in Cumbria

Cumbria in bloom awards, Ulverston best town in Cumbria! and deputy mayor Michelle Scrogham accepted the trophy on behalf of the town. Ulverston Bid won Silver Guilt for their contributions to the Bloom which includes funding the Ulverston in Bloom Group, providing and maintaining all the hanging baskets, supporting community projects, the Gill Banks action group and The Pound. In addition to this there is public information, communication to community and businesses, local art and renovation of grot spots!

Ulverston in bloom won Gold for the town and community groups including Gill Banks action group, friends of lightburn Park and St Mary’s Church gardeners all won awards. Huge congratulations to all involved in these richly deserved awards for our wonderful town!
