Charter Family Fun Day

Celebrate Ulverston’s rich heritage at the Charter Family Fun Day, an annual highlight marked each September to commemorate King Edward I granting Ulverston its Market Charter in 1280.

The Town Crier rings the town bell and reads the original charter at 10.30am at Market Cross, signalling the start of the festivities.

They’ll be live entertainment, family fun, community stalls, mini train rides and a family Dog Show.

This free event is rooted in history yet lively and inclusive, bringing together families, friends and visitors for a day of shared heritage and fun.
